Intern - Project Management

Our Summer Internship Program gives students hands-on exposure to real projects, a dedicated mentor and supervisor, and the chance to build a defined deliverable presented to leadership at the end of the summer — with strong performers considered for full-time roles after graduation. The Project Management Intern will support the project management team on active electrical construction projects, gaining hands-on exposure to how a project is planned, budgeted, coordinated, and delivered from start to finish.

Our Summer Internship Program gives students hands-on exposure to real projects, a dedicated mentor and supervisor, and the chance to build a defined deliverable presented to leadership at the end of the summer — with strong performers considered for full-time roles after graduation.The Project Management Intern will support the project management team on active electrical construction projects, gaining hands-on exposure to how a project is planned, budgeted, coordinated, and delivered from start to finish. This role works closely with project managers, superintendents, and field teams, offering a well-rounded look at both the office and field sides of running a project.Project Coordination & Documentation

• Assist project managers with maintaining project schedules and tracking milestones and deliverables.
• Support submittal, RFI, and change order tracking, routing, and follow-up.
• Help maintain project files, contracts, and documentation in the project management system.

Budget & Cost Support

• Assist with tracking committed costs, change orders, and budget-to-actual comparisons.
• Support pay application preparation and reconciliation against subcontractor and vendor invoices.

Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination

• Support subcontractor compliance tracking, including insurance, licensing, and lien waivers.
• Assist with procurement coordination for materials and equipment tied to project schedules.

Meetings & Communication

• Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and action item logs for project meetings.
• Support communication between the project team, field staff, clients, and vendors.

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or a related field
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working with both office and field teams

• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar project management software
• Prior construction internship, co-op, or trade background
• Basic understanding of contracts, submittals, and change order processes

• Paid, 10–12 week summer program (early June – mid-August)
• Assigned supervisor for day-to-day work plus a separate mentor for informal guidance and support
• Company-wide orientation, weekly lunch-and-learns with department leaders, and a mid-summer check-in
• Capstone project presented to department and executive leadership in the final week
• Strong performers — particularly graduating seniors — will be considered for full-time offers
