    Intern Fleet Mechanic – Diesel Truck & Equipment
    Job Type: Part time - Seasonal
    Experience Required: Vocational - Technical school

    C&K Industrial Services is hiring a Fleet Mechanic Intern to assist in maintaining our fleet of diesel trucks and heavy equipment. This position is ideal for a student currently enrolled in a diesel technology or heavy equipment program who is looking to gain hands-on, real-world experience. Under the supervision of experienced mechanics, you will support inspections, preventative maintenance, and basic repairs to help keep our equipment safe and operating efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist with routine maintenance on diesel trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment (oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, tire inspections)

    • Support senior mechanics in diagnosing and troubleshooting engine, transmission, brake, and electrical systems

    • Help perform safety inspections and assist with DOT compliance checks

    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment

    • Learn to properly diagnose and repair vehicles and equipment

    • Complete basic repairs under supervision

    • Accurately document work performed and communicate findings with supervisors

    • May assist with mobile repairs

    Qualifications

    • Currently enrolled in a diesel technology, heavy equipment, or related technical program

    • Basic mechanical knowledge and willingness to learn

    • Strong work ethic and positive attitude

    • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying weather conditions

    • Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions

    • Valid driver’s license required
