    Intermediate Engineer-in-Training (EIT) | Construction Support

    This firm is a growing Engineering, Surveying, Architectural & Environmental Consulting firm with offices in NYC and other key cities throughout the US, offering industry expertise and service in the areas of surveying, civil engineering, land planning, structure design and aquatic resources. The NYC office offers industry expertise and services in areas of Façade Restoration, Local Law 11 (FISP), Structural Engineering, License Agreement Review, Property Condition Assessments, and Building Enclosure Evaluations.

    Description:
    Seeking a motivated Engineer-in-Training to join our client’s construction support group. This role focuses on structural analysis and design of temporary works systems for bridge and building rehabilitation projects. You will work directly under licensed professional engineers.

    Responsibilities:
    ·Perform structural analysis of
    • Suspended access platforms
    • Scaffold systems
    • Containment framing and ventilation
    • Existing bridge and building elements
    • Develop calculation packages
    • Prepare structural details
    • Assist in load path development and anchorage design
    • Perform field visits
    • Coordinate with contractors and agencies

    Qualifications:
    ·4 years of structural engineering experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
    • Passed or scheduled to take the FE exam (EIT required or near completion)
    • Strong understanding of statics, structural analysis, and steel design
    • Proven experience with RISA, MathCAD, or similar software
    • A strong interest in bridge rehabilitation and temporary works design.

    Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction Management.
