Interior Systems Drywall Mechanic

Role snapshot

• Location: East Hartford, CT
• Compensation: $22–$25/hour DOE
• Project length: 6–7 months
• Scope: Commercial drywall and painting

What you'll tackle

• Hang gypsum board on walls and ceilings across an active commercial site
• Install resilient channel (RC channel) per plans to meet acoustic/performance specs
• Hit production goals: ~40 wall boards/day; ~32 ceiling boards/day (primarily 4' x 12')
• Work safely and confidently on stilts
• Lift, stage, and maneuver large sheets to keep the workflow moving
• Meet quality benchmarks while maintaining a steady production tempo
• Follow site safety rules and coordinate closely with the crew

Must-haves

• Demonstrated commercial drywall hanging background
• Comfort operating on stilts with safe practices
• Ability to lift and handle full-size panels
• Dependability for a full 6–7 month assignment
• Proven productivity in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
• Effective English communication on site

Nice to have

• RC channel experience
