    Interior Designer I

    A collaborative architecture and design firm is seeking an Interior Designer I to help create coordinated, buildable spaces across office, education, municipal, and industrial projects. In this role, you will turn client visions into interiors that look, feel, and function as intended while supporting architects, project managers, and interior design leaders throughout the project.




    Performance Objectives

    • Produce accurate Revit interior models, finish schedules, and furniture, fixtures, and equipment specifications that meet code, budget, and schedule requirements

    • Coordinate finishes, furniture, lighting, and millwork with architectural and consultant teams to reduce requests for information and field conflicts

    • Develop mood boards, material palettes, and presentation graphics that clearly communicate the proposed design direction

    • Support projects from schematic design through construction administration by updating drawings, tracking samples, and documenting decisions

    • Participate in site visits and punch list reviews to confirm design intent and resolve interior issues before occupancy

    • Maintain organized project files and contribute to interior design standards and resource libraries




    Environment and Resources

    You will report to a Project Architect or Interior Design Lead and work within a collaborative studio in Richardson, Texas. Revit serves as the primary production platform, supported by shared material and detail libraries. You will have access to firm leadership, consultants, vendors, and construction teams while contributing to both new construction and renovation projects.




    Essential Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in interior design or an equivalent degree from an accredited program

    • Up to three years of professional interior design experience, including qualifying internships and studio experience

    • Demonstrated Revit proficiency in interior modeling, tagging, scheduling, and sheet production

    • Working knowledge of finish materials, furniture, fixtures, equipment, building codes, and accessibility requirements

    • Experience or interest in commercial, education, municipal, industrial, or office projects

    • Ability to incorporate redlines accurately and meet documentation deadlines

    • Clear communication skills when working with architects, consultants, vendors, and contractors

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
