What You'll Be Doing as an Interior Designer in Dallas
  • Lead the development of interior design concepts that enhance the overall vision, story, and spatial experience of each project.
  • Collaborate with the Project Designer and broader project team to develop floor plans, furniture layouts, and room configurations that maximize both function and aesthetics.
  • Research design trends, materials, furnishings, and finishes to bring forward fresh, innovative solutions.
  • Create and refine design concepts through sketches, imagery, diagrams, models, renderings, and presentation materials.
  • Oversee the selection of materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment to ensure alignment with design intent, client goals, and budget.
  • Prepare and lead material boards and client presentations that clearly communicate the design direction.
  • Integrate sustainable design principles whenever possible.
  • Maintain documentation quality and incorporate revisions accurately throughout the design process.
  • Coordinate specifications and interior design details with the project team to support project delivery.
  • Apply knowledge of applicable codes and regulations to help ensure compliance.
  • Attend client meetings, interviews, and site visits, while helping manage communication and expectations throughout the life of the project.

About You as an Interior Designer
  • Professional degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
  • Licensed Interior Designer in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum six years of relevant experience in interior design.
  • Strong proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of Dynamo.
  • Proven experience handling projects of above-average size and complexity while maintaining creativity, accuracy, and timely delivery.
  • Deep understanding of design principles, current codes, construction documentation, and construction administration.
  • Extensive experience selecting finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment to create cohesive and functional environments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple complex projects at once.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and success working in a collaborative environment.
  • Experience leading and guiding project teams.
  • Experience in educational design is preferred.
