Our asset management client is seeking an Interim Senior Accountant for 6+ months to help with month end close and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and intercompany transactions
  • Perform daily and monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve variances timely
  • Execute assigned portions of the month-end and quarter-end close process
  • Compile and analyze financial data to support internal and parent company reporting requirements
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting packages
  • Ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with company policies
  • Partner with internal departments to gather data and resolve discrepancies
  • Support external audit requests by preparing and organizing required documentation
  • Meet all close deadlines, including reporting to parent company by business day 7
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 3–5+ years of relevant accounting experience (corporate or public accounting)
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes
  • Proven ability to work within tight close deadlines (5–7 business day close)
  • Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Great Plains or similar preferred)
  • Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data organization)
