Interim Quality & Patient Safety Program Manager (RN Preferred) – South of San Jose, CA

13-Week Contract | Earn Up to $3,200/Week Based on Experience

Connected Health Care, a leading healthcare recruitment and staffing firm, is partnering with a respected healthcare organization south of San Jose, California to hire an experienced Interim Quality & Patient Safety Program Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality leader who is passionate about improving patient outcomes, driving performance improvement initiatives, and fostering a culture of patient safety in an acute care setting.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the hospital's Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Program
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate quality improvement initiatives across the hospital, clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and ambulatory surgery center
  • Analyze quality and patient safety data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and implement evidence-based performance improvement projects
  • Present quality metrics and reports to executive leadership
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
  • Investigate adverse events, near misses, and patient safety concerns while implementing corrective action plans
  • Promote regulatory compliance and adherence to state and federal quality standards
  • Educate staff on quality improvement methodologies and patient safety initiatives
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Medicine, or a related healthcare field required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Current California RN License preferred (or 1–3 years of related clinical experience)
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of acute care hospital quality management experience required
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • QAPI
    • Risk Management
    • Peer Review
    • Incident Reporting
    • OPPE/FPPE
    • Regulatory compliance
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and quality reporting systems
  • CPHQ, CPPS, Lean, or Six Sigma certifications are preferred
