Interim Med/Surg Nurse Manager Needed in Tacoma, Washington!

The Position

• An Interim Med/Surg Nurse Manager is needed to provide leadership for a 33-bed Med/Surg Tele unit.
• Reporting to the Director, this leader will oversee 35 FTEs.
• Key responsibilities include providing visible and engaged leadership on the unit, supporting patient-facing interactions, improving quality and patient safety, addressing staffing challenges, building trust and collaboration, and continuing efforts to strengthen unit culture.
• The ideal candidate will have strong Med/Surg leadership experience, with union experience highly preferred, and demonstrate an ability to build trust, foster collaboration, and work closely with unit directors. Must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical.
• Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree required.
• Active RN license required.
• Prior nursing leadership experience in a Med/Surg environment is required, with union experience highly preferred.

Pay Details

• Pay Range: $150,000 - $160,000 annually.
• The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
• The listed base compensation range represents a good faith estimate of potential earnings at the time of this job posting and may be subject to future adjustments.
