Interim Manager, Case Management Needed in Valencia, California!

The Position

  • An Interim Manager, Case Management is needed to provide hands-on leadership for a hospital case management department.
  • Reporting to the Director of Case Management, this leader will oversee approximately forty FTEs.
  • Key responsibilities include ensuring case management policies and processes are consistently followed, educating staff on effective case management practices using GMLOS guidelines, improving multidisciplinary rounding functions, fostering collaboration with physicians, strengthening staff accountability, and supporting departmental operational excellence.
  • The ideal candidate will be a strong, assertive, and accountable leader with the ability to work effectively alongside challenging physicians while fostering collaboration across the department. They must have a strong understanding of case management metrics and escalation processes and be viewed as a credible representative of the department. The successful candidate will be an active listener who builds trust with staff, encourages teamwork, and demonstrates a strong work ethic.
  • Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance.

Requirements

  • BSN required; master's degree preferred.
  • Active California RN license required.
  • Must have progressive case management leadership experience in an acute care hospital. Experience managing registered nurses, social workers, and discharge planners is strongly preferred.

Pay Details

  • Pay Range: $160,000 - $170,000 annually.
  • The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
  • The listed base compensation range represents a good faith estimate of potential earnings at the time of this job posting and may be subject to future adjustments.
