Position Summary
The Interface Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all technical, contractual, and organizational interfaces between the multiple prime contractors and the Owner to ensure the successful integration, installation, commissioning, and operation of the pumped storage facility. The role is critical to ensure seamless integration between:
The Interface Manager ensures that all physical, functional, schedule, and contractual interfaces are clearly defined during the Conformance and Alignment Phase (1st August 2026 to 30 September 2027) and managed, and controlled throughout engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover phases (1st October 2027 to 31st December 2035).
Key Responsibilities
A. Interface Management Strategy and Planning
B. Technical Interface Coordination
Coordinate all technical interfaces between:
Civil Works Contractor and E&M Contractor
Civil Works Contractor and GIS Installation (Owner-Furnished Equipment)
GSU Transformers Integration
E&M Contractor and Electrical Systems
Owner Furnished Equipment and Contractors
C. Contractual Interface Management
Ensure compliance with contractual interface obligations defined in each contract.
Clarify scope boundaries to avoid gaps and overlaps.Support resolution of contractual interface disputes.
Ensure contractors fulfill obligations related to:
Installation of Owner Furnished Equipment (GIS, GSUs, OEM elements)
Integration and commissioning of multi-contract systems
Support commercial and claims teams with interface-related claims analysis.
D. Schedule and Construction Interface Coordination
E. Commissioning and Operational Integration
Coordinate commissioning interfaces including:
Ensure seamless transition from construction to operational readiness.
F. Interface Documentation and Control
Develop and maintain:
Ensure all interface requirements are clearly documented, tracked, and closed.
G. Risk Management
Identify, assess, and mitigate interface-related risks, including:
Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering:
Minimum:
Strong experience with:
Preferred experience with projects exceeding 1000 MW.
