We are seeking a Python Developer Contractor with 3+ years of experience, including hands-on Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) experience and working Python skills. This role will build, enhance, integrate, and support document automation solutions using Hyperscience.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and develop Hyperscience pipelines for document ingestion, classification, extraction, validation, and exception handling.
- Build and tune extraction approaches using templates, rules, and machine-learning-assisted techniques.
- Improve extraction accuracy, confidence scores, and straight-through processing rates.
- Use Python for data manipulation, automation scripts, validation utilities, API integrations, troubleshooting, and analysis.
- Integrate Hyperscience with enterprise platforms using REST APIs, webhooks, SFTP, queues, RPA, and workflow or case-management tools.
- Design and implement human-in-the-loop review processes, including field-level validations and quality-assurance sampling.
- Establish testing practices, including test sets, regression packs, and validation procedures.
- Support release management across development, testing, and production environments.
- Monitor production performance, triage defects, analyze root causes, and implement continuous improvements.
- Document solution designs, configurations, runbooks, support procedures, and operational handoffs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into extraction logic, validation rules, and exception workflows.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of Python experience.
- Hands-on experience with Intelligent Document Processing solutions.
- 1-2 years of experience specifically working with Hyperscience.
- Working knowledge of Python, including scripting, data handling, API consumption, and basic debugging.
- Strong understanding of OCR and ICR concepts.
- Experience with document classification, key-value extraction, table extraction, and exception workflows.
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, authentication, and integration troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Git, environment promotion, software testing, and basic CI/CD concepts.
- Ability to communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a primarily remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ServiceNow, Pega, Appian, or similar workflow and case-management platforms.
- Experience with UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or other RPA tools.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with secure handling of PII and PHI, including RBAC and audit logging.
- Experience operating IDP solutions at scale, including high-volume processing, SLAs, and performance monitoring.
The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $40-$50 per hour. The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
