Bryant Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a confidential, highly respected Southeastern law firm. The attorney will be employed directly by the client law firm.
About the Opportunity
A highly regarded Southeastern law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Intellectual Property Transactions Attorney to join its growing practice. This role focuses exclusively on sophisticated IP transactional work, including licensing agreements, technology transactions, patent acquisitions, commercial contracts, and IP‑driven corporate deals.
You will work alongside nationally recognized Corporate, Finance, and Regulatory attorneys on mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, and strategic commercial matters. The firm offers meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and a clear path for long‑term professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Structure, draft, and negotiate intellectual property agreements, including licensing, patent acquisitions, technology transfers, joint development agreements, and commercial contracts.
- Lead and support IP due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, financings, and other strategic corporate transactions.
- Advise clients on intellectual property ownership, commercialization, licensing, and risk management.
- Draft and negotiate technology, software, confidentiality, and other complex commercial agreements.
- Collaborate with Corporate, Finance, Regulatory, and other practice groups on integrated transactions.
- Counsel clients throughout all phases of IP‑driven corporate and financial services transactions.
- Manage multiple sophisticated client matters with exceptional responsiveness and attention to detail.
- Build trusted client relationships and contribute to practice growth.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school.
- Minimum 3 years of experience focused on intellectual property transactional law.
- Significant experience negotiating commercial contracts, licensing agreements, and IP transactions.
- Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions and/or financial services transactions.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and client counseling skills.
- Strong understanding of intellectual property strategy within corporate transactions.
- Licensed in North Carolina or eligible for admission.
Preferred:
- Graduate of a Top 50 U.S. law school.
- Experience practicing at an Am Law 200 firm or respected regional firm.
- Experience with patent acquisitions, technology transfers, software licensing, and complex commercial agreements.
- Financial services industry experience.
- Ability to independently manage sophisticated transactional matters while collaborating across practice groups.

- Salary range: $260,000–$390,000, plus performance‑based bonus.
