Job Requirements

POSITION SUMMARY

The Integrity Partner supports the Health First Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) Corporate Integrity Program, performing core compliance, integrity, and privacy operational functions. The Integrity Partner facilitates and coordinates essential compliance program activities, including but not limited to; data reviews, investigations, regulatory education, risk assessment support, and auditing and monitoring activities across the IDN. The Integrity Partner serves as a subject matter expert for their assigned area, offering guidance to Associates and leadership across the IDN, and that operational practices align with State, Federal, and regulatory requirements, Health First's policies and procedures, and the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct. The Integrity Partner is a key part in identifying risks, cultivating an environment of compliance, and supporting proactive and effective integrity initiatives across the IDN.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Facilitates and administers compliance program activities within assigned division of the IDN, verifying alignment with IDN Corporate Integrity and Privacy Programs standards and expectations.
  • Performs compliance and privacy reviews, and assigned facility rounding as appropriate. Collaborates on audit and monitoring activities tied to annual risk assessments and workplans, ensuring to maintain documentation, workflows and required compliance program records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Tracks, analyze, and trend compliance and privacy-related data to identify potential vulnerabilities, emerging risks, and operational gaps; provides recommendations for corrective action and collaborate with appropriate leaders to ensure resolution of identified issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepares reports and summaries for leadership to highlight risks, process gaps, training improvement opportunities, or areas requiring oversight.
  • Maintains metrics, records, and dashboards reflecting compliance activities, trends, and program outcomes.
  • Conducts or supports integrity and privacy investigations, including but not limited to; data collection, verification, analysis, and documentation of findings, partnering with leadership to ensure investigations are handled confidentially, consistently, objectively, and in alignment with policy and regulatory standards. Assists with external investigations as necessary.
  • Serves as a resource and subject matter expert for assigned division by the interpreting and communicating State, Federal, and regulatory body requirements relevant to assigned functional areas, while staying informed on updates in regulatory requirements to relay pertinent changes to departmental leaders and staff in a timely and actionable manner.
  • Delivers and supports compliance, privacy, and regulatory education and training programs to verify Associate compliance of understanding and complying with expectations, reporting obligations, and the impact of regulatory changes.
  • Collaborates with leadership, IDN stakeholders, and Corporate Legal, to ensure consistency in implementation of compliance practices and standards across the IDN, by participating in cross-divisional meetings, workgroups, or project teams to provide compliance insight and support strategic initiatives.

Work Experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Work Experience: Two (2) years' experience in either healthcare, compliance, risk management, quality, regulatory, or a related field.

  • Certification: None
  • Work Experience In Lieu of Education: Any one of the following:
  • Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related, and an additional two (2) years' experience either healthcare, compliance, risk management, quality, regulatory, or a related field OR
  • High School Diploma and an additional four (4) years' experience in either healthcare, compliance, risk management, quality, regulatory, or a related field
  • Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in understanding and analyzing federal and state health care rules and regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and ability to work with all levels of health care personnel, including Executive management.
  • Excellent time management, planning and organization skills, detail oriented.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills needed to identify key controls, business process improvements, evaluate alternatives and develop effective audit/monitoring recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise professional judgment regularly.
  • Self-confidence and composure to handle stressful, emergent, and dynamic work situations in a team environment often while managing multiple, concurrent, high- priority tasks.
  • Persistence and attention to detail to produce high-quality, professional-looking work products and to continuously improve personal performance.
  • Demonstrates strong customer service skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certification: Certification in healthcare compliance or a similar field.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, and stooping.
  • Long periods of computer time or at workstation.
  • Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance.
  • May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.
  • Workspace may vary from open to confined.
  • May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle.
