The Integration Manager will lead the development, maintenance, and support of critical integration applications and processes that enable efficient warehouse, distribution, and business operations. This role provides strategic leadership and technical oversight for the Integration team, with responsibility for integration technologies, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), warehouse automation, and connectivity between enterprise applications, customers, vendors, and operational systems.
The position will partner closely with Operations, Engineering, IT, and business leadership to establish integration strategies, improve system reliability and performance, and ensure technology initiatives align with organizational objectives. The role will also serve as a key escalation point for critical integration and automation issues while driving continuous improvement, governance, and long-term technology roadmaps.
Duties
- Lead, develop, and mentor the Integration team while establishing clear priorities, objectives, performance expectations, and opportunities for cross-training.
- Provide strategic oversight for integration applications, processes, platforms, and technologies supporting mission-critical business operations.
- Develop and maintain an integration and automation roadmap aligned with business objectives, operational requirements, and growth initiatives.
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of integration and automation projects, including project governance, resource planning, risk management, timelines, and success metrics.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, IT, and business leaders to understand requirements and establish integration priorities.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for critical integration, WMS, automation, and system performance issues impacting business operations.
- Maintain accountability for the stability, performance, scalability, and supportability of integrations between WMS, automation platforms, ERP systems, transportation systems, customer systems, vendors, and other business applications.
- Establish and govern integration standards, development practices, testing procedures, deployment protocols, monitoring processes, and documentation requirements.
- Evaluate emerging integration technologies, platforms, automation solutions, and tools to improve operational efficiency and system performance.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve data quality, reduce manual intervention, and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Ensure appropriate monitoring and support processes are in place to proactively identify integration failures, data discrepancies, and performance issues.
- Partner with software vendors, automation providers, and third-party support organizations to evaluate enhancements, implement upgrades, and resolve technical issues.
- Regularly review system performance, transaction volumes, operational metrics, and integration health to identify optimization opportunities.
- Communicate project status, risks, milestones, system performance, and improvement opportunities to senior leadership.
- Establish succession planning and knowledge-sharing practices for mission-critical integration development and support functions.
- Drive continuous improvement and ensure integration solutions meet standards for reliability, scalability, operational continuity, and security.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of experience leading enterprise integration, application integration, systems engineering, or related technology functions.
- 5+ years of experience managing and developing technical teams, with demonstrated ability to establish priorities and drive accountability.
- Experience with Softeon WMS.
- Strong experience with system integration technologies, including APIs, middleware, messaging platforms, and enterprise application connectivity.
- Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), warehouse operations, distribution environments, and supply chain processes.
- Experience supporting integrations between WMS, ERP, transportation management, customer, vendor, and business application systems.
- Strong understanding of warehouse automation technologies, including Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), Warehouse Execution Systems (WES), Material Handling Equipment (MHE), robotics, and related control systems.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with SQL, data analysis, system performance monitoring, and reporting.
- Proven project and program management experience with the ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives and competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to establish technology standards, governance, development practices, testing procedures, and deployment processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to communicate technical issues, operational impacts, risks, and recommendations to senior and executive leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, prioritize, and resolve complex operational, system, and integration issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to align technology solutions and integration strategies with business objectives.
- Experience developing technology roadmaps and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, technology vendors, automation providers, and third-party support organizations.
Preferred Skills
- Experience integrating warehouse management systems with warehouse automation, robotics, WCS, WES, or MHE platforms.
- Experience working in a high-volume distribution, logistics, fulfillment, or supply chain environment.
- Experience managing integrations involving complex automated warehouse operations.
