    Description

    Central Iowa Power Cooperative (CIPCO) is currently searching for an Integrated Area Operations Coordinator to join the Utility Operations team. This position supervises, inspects and monitors substation and transmission line projects and addresses member and landowner concerns. This position offers flexibility to work remotely, in the field or from a CIPCO office based on the selected candidate's location. As business needs evolve, the work location may be reviewed. Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate transmission and substation construction, maintenance, and improvement projects. Support the reliable operation of the electric system by responding to outages and operational issues. Plan, coordinate, and monitor preventive maintenance programs. Work with internal teams, member cooperatives, contractors, and utility partners to complete projects and restore service during emergencies. Monitor system performance and outage data, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend solutions. Oversee maintenance and construction activities, including substation upgrades, switch installations, and line relocations. Coordinate material needs and assists with budget planning for operations projects. Work with property owners to resolve issues related to operations and maintenance activities. Support technical activities such as right-of-way coordination, construction inspection, drafting, and field support. Maintain required records and ensure compliance with applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
