Position Overview
The Intake & Enrollment Specialist serves as the first point of contact for patients seeking services at Fourth Street Clinic. This role plays a critical part in helping individuals access care by managing the intake and enrollment process and connecting patients to medical, dental, behavioral health, and case management services.
The Intake & Enrollment Specialist creates a welcoming and culturally responsive environment while ensuring patient information is collected, verified, and entered accurately into the clinic's electronic health record system.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a welcoming and respectful experience
Conduct patient intake and enrollment processes for clinic services
Collect and verify documentation related to patient eligibility and services
Accurately enter patient information into the electronic health record (EHR) system
Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals to internal programs and community partners
Answer and manage calls through a multi-line phone system
Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies
Support a collaborative clinic environment focused on patient-centered care
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
At least one year of customer service, administrative, or front desk experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Experience using multi-line phone systems
Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting
Experience using electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems
Experience working with vulnerable or underserved populations
Compensation and Benefits
Starting pay begins at $18/hour and may vary based on experience.
