    Description

    Responsible for intake screening activities for the Intake Department, to include performance of screening interviews, evaluation of interview data, recommendation for acceptance/rejection of applicants, and related activities. Provides assistance and support as assigned for Boys Ranch Admission process. 

    Essential Duties:

    • Exhibits regular and punctual attendance. 
    • Performs initial screening interview with managing conservators, evaluates the results of interview and makes recommendations for acceptance/rejection of applicants for admission into organizational programs. 
    • Performs peer review on initial screening, evaluates the results of the interview, accepts for continuation or rejects applicants into organizational programs. 
    • Provides information to human services agencies regarding CFBRA programs by maintaining phone, computer and mail contact. 
    • Represents Cal Farley’s at human services conferences, including exhibit booth and related activities. 
    • Provides assistance and support as assigned for admissions process at Boys Ranch. 
    • Assists as needed with referral services for applicants who are turned down or ineligible for campus programs or for residents who are discharged from campus programs.  

     

    Requirements

    1. A Bachelor's degree in a human services field is required.
    2. A minimum of 1 year experience in intake screening in children’s services or a human services field is preferred. 
    3. Intermediate competency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word processing, database, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation graphics, etc) and related software required. 
    4. Must be proficient in general office equipment operation. 
    5. Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills. 
    6. Bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand/eye coordination, pushing/pulling, prolonged sitting/standing. 
    7. Bilingual a plus 
    8. Must be at least 21 years of age. 
    9. Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license. 
    10. Must be available for travel as needed.
