    What You Will Do:

    As a Central Intake Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for individuals seeking behavioral health services. You’ll provide compassionate, professional support to individuals, families, and referral sources while helping connect them to the most appropriate BHN program or resource.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Engage individuals with professionalism and empathy to gather intake and medication-related information.
    • Verify insurance information accurately and ensure documentation is complete and compliant.
    • Schedule intake and medication appointments promptly and communicate expectations clearly.
    • Coordinate with referral sources and BHN program staff to ensure timely follow-up and seamless transitions.
    • Support triage, provide information and referrals, and identify when a case requires escalation.
    • Maintain accurate electronic records and documentation in BHN’s systems.
    • Assist callers in accessing the appropriate level of care and community resources.
    • Promote a positive, efficient, and person-centered intake experience.

    Who You Are:

    • High School Diploma or GED (required); associate or bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred).
    • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or a call center/intake setting.
    • Knowledge of mental health and substance use disorder treatment services.
    • Experience with insurance verification and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (preferred).
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
    • Proficiency in computer systems, databases, and Microsoft Office applications.
    • Ability to manage high-volume calls, multitask, and problem-solve effectively.
    • Demonstrated cultural competence and comfort working with diverse populations.
    • Candidates must be able to speak Spanish language.

    Bilingual-$21.50

    Work Schedule-Part-time hours offered-Mon -8am-4:30pm, & for the rest of the week it will vary from 8am-1pm or 1-6pm. it depends on the coverage needed.
