How You Will Make a Difference
- Complete comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, suicide and violence risk screenings (e.g., C-SSRS), and ASAM assessments when indicated.
- Obtain collateral information, verify benefits, and coordinate timely bed placement with nursing and medical leadership.
- Consult with the on-call psychiatrist/NP to support clinical decision-making, formulate provisional diagnoses, and develop recommendations.
- Document assessments, clinical decisions, and disposition plans clearly and accurately in the EMR.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, referral sources, and overnight clinical teams to ensure timely and coordinated care.
- Support safe dispositions, address emerging safety concerns, and provide thorough handoffs to daytime providers and interdisciplinary teams.
What We’re Looking For
- Active independent licensure (e.g., LCSW / PLPC / RN)
- 2+ years acute behavioral health or crisis evaluation experience.
- Expertise in risk assessment, de‑escalation, and payer authorization processes.
