Job Summary:

The Facilities Technician is a critical contributor to a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The role is responsible for maintaining facility infrastructure, supporting equipment installations and relocations, coordinating contractor work, and ensuring all building systems function safely, reliably, and in compliance with operational standards. This pivotal role directly supports and ensures uninterrupted manufacturing.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain strict adherence to all safety protocols, including PPE, Lockout/Tagout, Hot Work Permits, and safe work practices.
Monitor and maintain power, industrial gases, DI water, chilled water, liquid nitrogen supply, and drain systems ensuring continuous operation.
Work closely with contractors, vendors, building security, and safety personnel to support facility operations and projects.
Perform general maintenance of the building, grounds, and manufacturing areas.
Assist with equipment moves, new installations, and facility modifications.
Required Qualifications:
Typically requires 3(+) years of facilities or technical experience as a maintenance technician, equipment technician/engineer, or facilities technician.
GED or high school diploma.
Proficient in Lockout/Tagout, Hot Work Permits, and PPE usage.
Skilled in installing different piping/plumbing systems, conduit, and ductwork.
Comfortable working on ladders, platforms, and elevated areas.
Strong diagnostic skills for facility systems and equipment.
Knowledge of cleanroom operations and contamination‑control procedures.
Understanding of facility distribution networks (water, electrical, gas, etc.).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interdepartmental collaboration.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and facility‑related software platforms.
Able to work overtime as needed, sometimes will include weekends. Also, on-call rotation once per month for nights and weekends is required.
Exposure to extreme temperatures will be required.
Must be able to train on first shift.
Preferred Qualifications:
Formal trades training is preferred.
