It is the only rehabilitation hospital in the state accredited in six programs by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. ResponsibilitiesContact all insurance companies to verify the description of the patients medical plan benefits. Interacts with physicians' office personnel and patients regarding financial issues; assures appropriate payment for procedures. Handles customer account transactions, provides customer assistance, and performs and/or oversees cashiering operations. Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety. QualificationsJob Requirements:High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Knowledge of insurance plans. Skilled in a variety of software applications, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).One (1) year of previously related experienceMedical TerminologyPreferred Job Requirements:Associates Degree in a related field of studyPrevious medical office experience.Heart Saver.
