    Job Description

    The Insurance Specialist is responsible for reviewing, processing, and maintaining insurance-related documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, confidentiality, and timely completion of required tasks. This role supports internal teams and external stakeholders by verifying coverage information, maintaining insurance records, coordinating claims documentation, monitoring renewals, and communicating with carriers, brokers, lenders, and internal departments to resolve insurance-related needs.

    Essential Functions:

    • Review insurance policies, certificates, endorsements, binders, and related documents for completeness and accuracy.
    • Participate in calls related to claims and coverages.
    • Verify insurance coverage, limits, effective dates and deductibles.
    • Maintain accurate insurance records, tracking logs, databases, and document management systems.
    • Communicate with insurance carriers, brokers, lenders, and internal departments to obtain or clarify insurance information.
    • Identify documentation deficiencies and follow up to resolve missing, expired, or non-compliant insurance items.
    • Assist with claims intake, status tracking, and coordination of supporting documentation as needed.
    • Prepare correspondence, reports, summaries, and file notes related to insurance matters.
    • Monitor renewal dates and ensure updated documentation is received before policy expiration.
    • Support compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and client-specific insurance requirements.
    • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client, policy, financial, and business information.
    • Other duties as assigned.
