POSITION TITLE: Insurance Sales Agent, Blackstone, VA

STATUS: Exempt

LOCATION:Nottoway County office (with Travel to meet with existing and new clients)

REPORTS TO: Agency Manager

COMPENSATION RANGE:

Base Salary: $37,000 – $52,000 annually (dependent upon location and established book of business)

Average First-Year Total Compensation: $52,000 – $125,000 annually (inclusive of base salary)

Total compensation — which includes base salary, commissions, and performance-based earnings — is driven by your individual effort, hustle, and the relationships you build with members. The figures above reflect real average first-year Agent earnings across our agency network. The ceiling? There isn't one. Virginia Farm Bureau desires to hire an Insurance Sales Agent to join our team in the ­­­Nottoway County Farm Bureau Office located in Blackstone, VA. This position will be full time on-site at our Nottoway office. No relocation offered.

Our W-2 employee agents are provided an existing book of business to review and service, a base salary, commissions on new sales, numerous bonus, and elaborate trips for top performers.

Preferred Requirements:

• Property & Casualty license and Life, Health & Annuities license, or ability to obtain these with Virginia Farm Bureau providing and paying for licensing training materials/class.
• Must provide proof of passing licensing test

• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Good time management skills and the ability to work independently
• Prior sales experience (any industry) helpful but not required
