Note: Must have an active New York bar license and at least 1 year of directly relevant insurance defense experience. We are seeking an associate with 3+ years of total experience and strong competence in insurance liability matters.

Job Description
- Manage a caseload of insurance defense and general liability matters from inception through resolution.
- Analyze liability issues, claims, pleadings, discovery, and case strategy.
- Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and apply relevant New York law to active matters.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, insurance professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with depositions, court appearances, hearings, and other litigation activities as appropriate.
- Track deadlines, case developments, and litigation strategy with strong attention to detail.
- Work closely with senior attorneys and the litigation team to move matters forward efficiently.
Qualifications
- Active New York bar license.
- 3+ years of experience as an attorney.
- At least 1 year of insurance defense experience.
- Strong understanding of insurance liability and general liability matters.
- Excellent legal writing, research, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and competing priorities.
- Trial experience is valued but not required.
