Insurance Defense Attorney: Defense Practice with Hybrid Flexibility in Pittsburgh

Our client, a respected downtown Pittsburgh defense firm, is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney with 3+ years of experience for its Pittsburgh office. The practice defends insureds in liability, premises, auto, and related civil matters for carriers and self-insured clients across Western Pennsylvania.

This is a hybrid role. You will spend part of the week in the Pittsburgh office and part working remotely, with direct partner access and real case ownership.

What You'll Do

• Defend insurance liability and related civil claims in state court
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and status reports for carriers
• Take and defend depositions of parties and fact witnesses
• Attend mediations, hearings, and trials
• Evaluate exposure and recommend strategy to clients and carriers

What We're Looking For

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active member of the Pennsylvania Bar in good standing
• 3+ years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage a caseload with partner guidance
• Comfort with a hybrid schedule
