Are you an experienced insurance professional who enjoys helping clients but also has an interest in writing new business?

We are looking for an Insurance Customer Service Representative to join our independent insurance agency. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships with clients, managing their day-to-day insurance needs, and identifying opportunities to provide additional coverage.

As an independent agency, we represent multiple insurance companies, allowing us to offer our clients a variety of coverage and pricing options. You will have the opportunity to work with both personal and commercial insurance clients and develop long-term relationships.

Salary Range: $44000.00 - $64000.00 per year

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional day-to-day customer service to personal and commercial insurance clients

Handle policy changes, endorsements, certificates, billing questions, and coverage questions

Process applications, policy changes, renewals, and cancellations

Quote and write new personal and commercial insurance business

Develop new business through existing client relationships, referrals, networking, and other opportunities

Communicate with multiple insurance carriers regarding underwriting and policy issues

Illinois Property & Casualty Insurance License required or preferred with licensing assistance available

Experience with personal lines and/or commercial insurance

Strong customer service and communication skills

Ability and willingness to quote and write new business

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Professional, friendly, and confident when communicating with clients

Experience with an agency management system and insurance company rating systems preferred
