About the role

Our Instrumentation/Electrical (I/E) team, composed of 16 people, is integrated in the surface maintenance department at the Green River operation Surface and focuses on safety in collaboration with efficiency.

As a I/E Mechanic (Entry level C), you will be responsible for the comprehensive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of instrument, electrical, and control systems (up to 34.5 kV) at the Green River Surface operation, ensuring peak performance through rigorous safety compliance, technical diagnosis, and collaborative team coordination in a dynamic shift-based environment.

You will be accountable for:

  • Strictly complying with safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment
  • Inspecting, calibrating, repairing, and testing control systems, instrumentation, and electrical systems (up to 34.5 kV)
  • Diagnosing equipment failures and acting calmly during emergencies to rectify issues
  • Coordinating activities with the team, consulting technical manuals, and requesting replacement parts

We offer a permanent contract based on fixed shifts (40 hours/week) in onsite working mode.

About you

Relevant education degree or equivalent in Instrumentation/Electrical. Relevant work experience of at least 3 years in industrial background.

Competencies:

  • Good knowledge of electronic, electrical and mechanical instrumentation.
  • Interpret complex diagrams and use precision tools to troubleshoot process control faults.
  • Skilled in the detection and repair of faulty instruments.

Behaviors:

  • Maintains a safe environment by strictly following high-risk procedures and responding calmly to emergencies or equipment failures.
  • Coordinates effectively with teams on maintenance and parts requisition while serving as a tutor to develop the skills of fellow personnel.
  • Demonstrates adaptability by working rotating shifts and overtime to support multiple capital projects and plant goals.

About the pay and benefits

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is: $48.00-$48.71 per hour in the United States. Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
