Instrument Technician

Our Client, a Automotive Manufacturing company, is looking for a Instrument Technician for their Pontiac MI location.

Responsibilities:

• Calibration of low to medium level instrumentation.
• Document creation and retention according to local policies.
• Adherence to all local (Company's) safety policies.
• Actively contribute to the group's business plan development goals.
• Willingness to be trained in multiple types of calibration disciplines.

Requirements:

• Work environment - Office/Lab environment with occasional support on the test floor
• Daily breakdown - team meeting in the morning 10-15 minutes, discuss any pressing issues or concerns, they have reports that they look at to decide priority of the work, mostly working on the bench
• Interaction level with the team - a lot interaction, between the techs, calling the customers and engineering groups, there is a level of heads down independent work, but must be able to function in a team
• Years of experience - 1-2 years of experience
• Education requirement - Associate's degree is a nice to have, not required.
• High School Diploma is required
• Basic computer skills:
• Ability to follow written instructions
• Some technical background - does not have to be specifically in calibration, experience with electrical technician background is good
