Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks a Instrument Fitter for a project in Wilmington, NC. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3-months.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Blueprint & Drawing Reading: Interpret P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), isometric layouts, and hook-up drawings to determine specifications.
- Tubing & Piping: Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install small-bore tubing (like stainless steel or copper) and piping for pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Component Installation: Mount and secure field instruments such as pressure transmitters, flow meters, valves, and gauges using specialized brackets and stands.
- Testing & Calibration: Conduct pressure and leak tests on tube and pipe installations, ensuring signal integrity, zero leaks, and overall calibration to meet project standards.
- System Fabrication: Build and install tube trays, junction boxes, and multi-tubing bundles.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years related experience
- Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
- Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC.
- Observe SIC and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds.
- Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions.
- Must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops and other elevated positions, as well as, confined spaces.
- Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position.
- Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.
