BlueWave is hiring an Instrument Fitter for an aerospace organization based in Cape Canaveral, Florida. As an Instrument Fitter, you will fabricate and assemble instrumentation and fluid-system panels using stainless-steel tubing. This night-shift position requires precise, independent work based on technical drawings and layout requirements.
Responsibilities
- Measure, route, bend, and install ¼-inch to 1-inch stainless-steel tubing
- Fabricate instrumentation and fluid-system panels and skids
- Complete clean rack and waterfall tubing installations
- Install instrumentation and fluid-system fittings and connections
- Read drawings and determine tubing layouts and routing
- Mechanically assemble fluid-system components
- Maintain cleanliness and contamination-control standards
- Support field installation activities as needed
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of tube bending or tube fitting experience
- Strong stainless-steel tube bending and measurement skills
- Experience working with ¼-inch to 1-inch tubing
- Ability to read technical drawings and perform layout work
- Experience installing instrumentation or fluid-system fittings
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to produce clean, organized tubing installations
- Ability to work independently on a night shift
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with panel, rack, or waterfall tubing
- Experience with flare tubing or medium-pressure systems
- Experience with cryogenic or high-pressure fluid systems
- Aerospace or comparable critical-process experience
- Skid fabrication experience
Employment Type: Contract in Cape Canaveral, Florida; night shift with five 10-hour shifts per week and potential additional overtime
