  • Provides inpatient and outpatient general adult neurology clinical services to include neuromuscular or clinical neurophysiology services in the assigned neurology outpatient clinic, and provides consultation services in the affiliated hospitals
  • Provides direct patient care and consultative service to other medical professionals Diagnose and treat general adult neurological patients, to include interpreting diagnostic tests, such as EEGs/ EMGs, and treatment of a variety of peripheral nerve and muscle disorders. Supervises resident clinics and participates in the overall teaching program for the teaching and training of residents and medical students, to include the presentation of lectures
  • Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship
  • Contributes to the community through academically related public service complementary to the institutional mission
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
  • Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine''s Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility.
  • Participates in medical school and hospital committees
  • Assists the Department Chair with the implementation of departmental policies and monitoring staffing effectiveness

  • Experience with education of residents and medical students
  • Board certification in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology for the rank of assistant professor or higher
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English)
  • Successful completion of fellowship training in Neuromuscular Medicine or Clinical Neurophysiology from an accredited program in the United States
  • Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of Associate Professor or higher
  • Experience in Neuromuscular Medicine or Clinical Neurophysiology
  • Board Certification in Neuromuscular Medicine or Clinical Neurophysiology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Texas
