Job Title Instructor - Criminology and Criminal Justice - Lincoln campus Department School of Criminology & Criminal Justice Essential Functions

The University of Nebraska at Omaha's School of Criminology and Criminal Justice invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Instructor (non-tenure track) for our Lincoln CampusThe ideal candidate will complement or extend our existing curricular strengths and teach a variety of introductory and upper-level undergraduate courses in Criminology and Criminal Justice. All applicants must present evidence of high-quality instruction and service. We are particularly interested in candidates experienced with service-learning or community-engaged instruction. Workload is 4 courses (approximately 12 credits hours) per semester, and has a service expectation to the university, college and/or unit. A successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to teach in higher education and possess strong written and oral communication skills. Anticipated start date is January 4, 2027.

Candidates must have a Master's degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. in Criminology and Criminal Justice completed or nearing completion (ABD). Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level in areas that would support or extend the existing criminology and criminal justice curriculum. Candidates should be able to teach a broad range of courses.
