Bullitt Central High School is seeking a highly qualified instructional tutor to provide supports across content areas (reading, writing, and math interventions, carryover supports to science and social studies) to students in tiered interventions for behavior and/or academics. The successful candidate must be:

- Knowledgeable of and able to implement best instructional practices
- Able to partner with the MTSS coach, instructional coach, certified classroom teachers, and other classified instructional assistants in a collaborative setting to support the learning of struggling students

Position Details
Hours: 6 hours per day (plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
Contract Length: 183 days per year
- 170 student instructional days
- 4 holidays
- 7 planning days
- 2 extended days
Contract Adjustments: Contracted days will be prorated based on the start date
Employment Status: Full-time with benefits
Employment Type: 10-month employee on the classified pay schedule
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Must have at least 64 college credits and a 2.5 GPA.
- Documentation: Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire.
Compensation & Experience Credit
2026-2027 Pay Scale
- Starting Pay (Step 0): $24.63/hour
- Experienced Pay (Step 10): $26.97/hour

Previous experience working with students, intervention systems, and small-group instruction is strongly desired.
New hires may bring up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience.
- The hired applicant is responsible for submitting the BCPS Verification of Experience Form to prior employers for completion and return to HR.
Payroll Note: While this is an hourly position, the salary is distributed via a year-long contract over 10 months. You will receive 4 paychecks at the end of June.
