    FLSA Status: ExemptPosition SummaryThe Instructional Services Librarian/Instructor oversees the instruction and reference programs, and works to further information literacy on campus, all while providing reference, instruction, and liaison services to support the academic mission of the university community. Essential Job Duties• Oversees the library's instruction services with a focus on continuous improvement and interactive learning.• Plans, implements, and assesses the library's information literacy plan.• Develops, schedules, and coordinates the library's involvement with Freshman Seminar (UNIV 1001).• Oversees LibGuides Maintenance and Standards Compliance Review.• Develops instructional materials for the library.• Creates and maintains LibWizard forms for department operations.• Provides instruction on library use and research skills in classroom, online, and reference desk settings.• Serves as liaison to academic departments for research and collection development.• Collaborates with faculty on information literacy curriculum development and special projects.• Participates in university and library committee work.• Maintains current knowledge of emerging trends and best practices through professional development.• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee. Qualifications Both experienced librarians, recent graduates, and current students from ALA-accredited MLS programs are encouraged to apply.

May oversee the development of new methods, resolve issues, and regularly advise teams on complex matters
