Instructional Design SpecialistDonorConnect is seeking a full-time Instructional Design Specialist. The Instructional Design Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality learning solutions that support the clinical and operational training needs of DonorConnect. This role collaborates closely with members of Learning and Organizational Development (LOD), Quality Services, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and departmental leadership to translate complex operational processes into engaging and eective learning experiences.The Instructional Design Specialist applies adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and technology-enabled learning strategies to improve knowledge retention, learner engagement, and performance outcomes. This role supports both clinical and business operations in alignment with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.DonorConnect is a federally designated nonprofit community service organization dedicated to the recovery of organs and tissues to be used for life-saving transplants. Will obtain certication within rst year of employment.Completes relevant continuing education courses approved by departmental leadership Healthcare or clinical education experience preferredExperience Required:Minimum of two years' experience designing and developing instructional materials, e-learning content, or curriculum programsExperience working with Subject Matter Experts to develop technical or clinical training content preferredExperience supporting learning initiatives within healthcare, clinical, or operational environments preferredExperience with instructional design models such as ADDIE or similar learning frameworks requiredKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologiesStrong written communication and content development skillsAbility to translate complex operational information into clear and engaging learning materialsStrong collaboration skills when working with SMEs, leadership, and training staAbility to manage multiple projects and timelines while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of multimedia learning development tools and learning technologies preferredAbility to analyze learner feedback and incorporate improvements into training design Ability to work independently while contributing eectively within a collaborative team environmentAbility to maintain accurate records and comply with PHI and data integrity standards Knowledge of computer hardware, software, organ and tissue transplant elds, critical care, OR environment, and medical terminology preferredAbility to stand and walk for extended periods of timeAbility to move up to 70 pounds with or without reasonable accommodationAbility to stoop, squat, or bend frequentlyKnowledge regarding hazards of clinical setting safety elements, including communicable disease, bloodborne pathogens, and other common hazards of a clinical setting.DonorConnect is a PROUD Equal Opportunity Employer who Values Diversity in Both Experience and Background!Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
