Pflugerville Independent School District - Job Description Job Title/Position: Instructional Coach - Title I/II Department/School: Curriculum & Instruction Pay Information: Teacher Compensation Plan Supervised By: Campus principal where assigned FLSA: Exempt Date Revised: January 2020 Primary Purpose: To provide teachers with instructional coaching, training, and support that is aligned with district curriculum and standards. The primary role of the Instructional Coach is to positively impact student achievement. This will be accomplished by participating in continuous school improvement efforts and by providing teachers with supplemental instructional coaching, training, and support that is aligned with district curriculum. These efforts are intended to support teachers as they provide supplemental, targeted instruction and interventions for students in order to meet or exceed state academic standards. Provides supplemental support to the campus' professional learning program in accordance with the Elementary & Secondary Education Act. Minimum Qualifications (Experience/Education/Certification): Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field; valid Texas Teacher Certificate; five years of teaching experience. Program Funds Consideration: Funding for this position is contingent upon the Title I, Part A Program and its coordination to the individual campus needs assessment. The position may be funded on a year-to-year basis based on the campus needs assessment and availability of supplemental funds.
