POSITION SUMMARY:
The Multilingual Learners and World Language Instructional Supervisor at CREC plays a critical role in shaping and enhancing the educational experience of language learners across CREC Magnet Schools. This position focuses on supervising certified teachers, reviewing and developing subject-specific curricula, and providing instructional support to both school leaders and teachers in the area of language learners. This position also requires familiarity with all necessary state and federal data collection and reporting associated with multilingual learners. The ideal candidate is an experienced educator and leader with exceptional knowledge and experience with language learners who is also passionate about curriculum innovation, instructional excellence, and professional development.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate with the multilingual learner team to ensure required assessments and reporting are completed and submitted in compliance with state and federal requirements.
- Lead the development, evaluation, and revision of ML and world language curricula to align with state and national standards.
- Ensure that curriculum materials reflect the diverse needs and experiences of students in the CREC community.
- Collaborate with teachers and content specialists to design innovative and engaging instructional resources.
- Provide guidance and support to school leaders and teachers in implementing evidence-based instructional practices.
- Offer professional development workshops and coaching to enhance teaching effectiveness and student outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: Bachelors Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required: CT Certification in one of the following endorsement areas:
023 Spanish, 4-12
024 Other World Language, 4-12
101 World Language Instructor, Elementary
111 Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), PK-12
Required: CT 092 Certification.
