Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Instructional Assistant Special Day Class (SDC) to provide instructional support and assistance to teachers and students in our SDC program at Pleasant grove Middle School. The successful candidate will implement specialized curriculum, modifications, accommodations, and behavior management strategies under the guidance of the teacher. Confidentiality and record-keeping will be crucial in this role. Prior experience working with school-age children and a CPR certificate would be desired. The candidate should have a solid understanding and passion for child development, behavior management, and instructional processes. This position requires following instructions, working independently, and establishing effective working relationships. This Instructional Assistant SDC role offers an ideal schedule of 6 hours per day, 7:45 AM-2:15 PM with a 30-minute unpaid break, Monday - Friday, 193 days per year. This includes all school and holiday breaks off, as well as earned holiday pay, vacation, and sick leave accrual.
