Instructional Aide - Elementary School North

Job Description:

Assist the teacher in preparation and management of classroom actrivities and administrative requirements. Work under the supervision of a certified teacher to assist students in the classroom. This position may also work with children with special needs.

Salary Range (Based on 2025-2026 Compensation Plan):

Minimum: $11.89/hour

Midpoint: $13.45/hour

Salary commensurate with related experience

Duty Days: 187

Start Date: August, 2026

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Have met formal academic assessment, associate's degree, or two years of study at an institution of higher learning

Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate (District will make application to TEA once candidate is selected)

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to work with adolescent children

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Ability to communicate effectively

Knowledge of general office equipment
