Seattle Central College is looking to hire Classroom Lab Assistants in STEM.

Hourly Rate for this position is $21.30.

Position Summary

Classroom Lab Assistants are temporary, part-time positions at Seattle Central College supporting instruction and classroom activities in STEM. A Classroom Lab Assistant works under the supervision of an Instruction & Classroom Support Technician 4 and may assist with program lecture and laboratory components in the areas of Biology, Chemistry, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or Physics.

Hours worked depends on the areas hired to support, up to a maximum of 16 hours per week, typically in-person, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Positions are considered on a quarterly basis.

What you will be working on:

• Learn and follow classroom and laboratory procedures and policies

• Maintain regular contact with supervisor

• Keep lab and prep areas clean and organized

• Dust, sweep, mop, and wash as necessary

• Assist in setting up and putting away classroom and laboratory activities

• Learn to maintain and repair classroom and laboratory equipment
