    POSITION SUMMARY 
     
    The Institutional Advancement Assistant will support the Office of Institutional Advancement in fostering positive relationships with alumni, donors, and community partners. This role assists with administrative, event, and communications tasks that enhance the College’s outreach, fundraising, and engagement initiatives. Students will gain professional experience in customer service, marketing, and nonprofit development while contributing to the College’s mission.
     
     
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
     
    Administrative & Clerical Support
    • Assist with data entry, filing, and maintenance of donor and alumni records.
    • Prepare mailings, thank-you letters, and correspondence related to fundraising and engagement activities.
    • Support documentation and organization of department materials.
    Event & Engagement Support
    • Assist with planning, setup, and staffing of advancement and alumni events.
    • Support registration, guest check-in, and hospitality during events.
    • Help coordinate follow-up communications and event summaries.
    Marketing & Communications Assistance
    • Assist in drafting or reviewing promotional content for newsletters, social media, and event materials.
    • Conduct light research on potential donors, alumni, or community partners.
    • Support outreach efforts that strengthen alumni and donor engagement.
     
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Detail-oriented, professional, and organized.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive donor and alumni data.
    • Interest in marketing, communications, public relations, or nonprofit management (preferred but not required).
     
    WORK SCHEDULE
    • Hours based on student availability and departmental needs.
    • Occasional evening or weekend support may be required during special events.
     
    COMPENSATION
     
    Hourly rate in accordance with Federal Work-Study guidelines.
