We are launching our local operations and looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Installation Technician to work directly alongside the business owner. This role starts part-time and offers a clear, rapid runway into full-time leadership as our recurring route accounts scale across the territory.

    What You’ll Do
    • Precision Field Installation: Measure, remove, and install custom refrigeration gaskets, walk-in cooler door sweeps, strip curtains, and oven seals at customer locations.
    • Hardware & Handyman Repairs: Perform minor door adjustments, hinge alignments, door closer repairs/replacements, and custom cutting board installations.
    • Site Inspections: Conduct routine equipment inspections, photograph unit tags/serial numbers, note equipment defects, and report findings via our mobile field service software.
    • Client Engagement: Interact professionally on-site with restaurant general managers, executive chefs, and facility directors.
    • Route & Inventory Management: Travel between customer locations across the territory with organized tools and installation materials.

    What We Provide & Compensation
    • Comprehensive On-the-Job Training: Direct, 1-on-1 field training side-by-side with local leadership—we will teach you the trade, tools, and installation techniques on actual job sites from day one (no prior commercial kitchen experience required).
    • Vehicle Mileage Reimbursement: Generous per-mile reimbursement (standard IRS business rate) to cover fuel, maintenance, and vehicle usage for all travel between client sites.
    • Tools & Equipment: All required hand/power tools, measurement equipment, smartphone/tablet app access, and branded company apparel provided.
    • Consistent Schedule: Daytime weekday schedule (Monday–Friday) with no late-night or emergency overnight on-call shifts.
    • Growth Opportunity: Opportunity to gain valuable hands-on trade skills and grow with an expanding local service business.

    Requirements
    • Reliable Personal Vehicle: Must have a dependable personal vehicle (pickup truck, SUV, van, or large hatchback preferred) capable of transporting basic hand tools, hardware, and gasket rolls between job sites.
    • Valid Driver’s License & Clean Record: Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and an active personal auto insurance policy.
    • Mechanical Aptitude: Comfort using basic hand and power tools (cordless drills, screwdrivers, utility knives, heat guns, measuring tape). Prior experience in general handyman work, facilities maintenance, carpentry, or appliance repair is a plus.
    • Physical Capability: Ability to bend, kneel, squat, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs comfortably throughout commercial kitchen environments.
    • Dependability & Professional Demeanor: Punctual, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating courteously with kitchen managers and staff.
    • Authorized to Work: Legally authorized to work in the United States and willing to undergo standard background and driving record screening.

    Compensation: $24.00 per hour
