The Installation Technician will work closely with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to complete installations safely, accurately, and according to schedule.The ideal candidate has hands-on MEP experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to craftsmanship, safety, and customer service.What You'll DoInstallation & Field ExecutionInstall and assist with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems according to approved plans and specificationsSupport the installation of HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, and related componentsRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentationComplete assigned installations accurately and within project schedulesCoordinate with project managers, engineers, and field personnelRepresent VMG professionally when interacting with customers and project partnersTesting & TroubleshootingPerform system checks to verify proper operation and code complianceIdentify installation issues and assist with troubleshooting and corrective workCommunicate equipment deficiencies, material needs, and field concerns promptlyHelp ensure completed work meets VMG's quality standards and project requirementsSafety & Worksite OrganizationFollow all company safety policies and applicable construction regulationsMaintain tools and equipment in safe working conditionKeep work areas clean, organized, and free of avoidable hazardsUse required personal protective equipment and follow established jobsite proceduresWhat We're Looking ForMinimum 2 years of hands-on MEP installation experience in a commercial or industrial environmentWorking knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and/or basic electrical componentsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documentsStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilitiesValid driver's license with a clean driving recordOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferredDependable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a field teamAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to work in varying weather conditions and active construction environmentsWhy Join VMG?VMG offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including:Competitive pay based on experienceComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and company holidays401(k) retirement planTraining and professional-development opportunitiesOpportunities for career growth and advancementA supportive, team-oriented work environmentJoin VMGReady to build your future with VMG?
