HVAC Installation Supervisor

Peak Technical Services has a need for an Installation Supervisor in the Sylva area.

Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing a team of technicians who install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in residential buildings, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, performing quality checks, and addressing any technical issues that arise during installation while adhering to safety regulations and building codes.

Key responsibilities:

• Team Leadership:

  • Assign tasks to installation technicians based on their skill level and project requirements.
  • Supervise and motivate the installation team to meet deadlines and productivity targets.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to technicians.
  • Train and mentor new technicians on proper installation procedures and company standards.

• Project Management:

  • Review project plans and specifications to ensure understanding of installation requirements.
  • Conduct pre-installation site surveys to identify potential challenges and coordinate with other trades.
  • Manage material ordering and inventory to avoid delays.
  • Monitor project progress against timelines and budget.
  • Identify and address any issues that may impact project completion.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, including different types of equipment, installation techniques, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Ensure installations comply with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance to technicians on complex installations or troubleshooting issues.
  • Conduct quality inspections of completed installations to verify proper functionality and adherence to specifications.

• Customer Interaction:

  • Communicate with customers to address concerns, provide updates on project progress, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with project managers or clients to resolve any issues that may arise during installation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:

  Proven experience in HVAC installation, including knowledge of different equipment brands and system design principles.

• Leadership Skills:

  Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team of technicians.

• Problem-solving Skills:

  Capability to troubleshoot installation issues and find solutions to complex problems.
