Position Summary

The Installation Supervisor leads onsite automation installations, coordinates project teams, and helps ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

What You’ll Do

  • Safety: Maintain a safe, clean, and professional worksite.
  • Daily coordination: Lead onsite meetings covering targets, safety, priorities, and open issues.
  • Installation leadership: Coordinate engineers, project managers, installers, contractors, customers, and internal teams.
  • Schedule oversight: Monitor milestones and escalate schedule concerns.
  • Documentation: Maintain safety logs, reports, issue lists, and meeting notes.
  • Compliance: Enforce safety procedures and required PPE use.
  • Communication: Share customer, contractor, delay, and scope concerns with project leadership.
  • Project support: Assist with tooling buy-off, runoffs, schedules, and site organization.
  • Relationships: Build productive partnerships with customers, contractors, and installation crews.
  • Professionalism: Represent the company with strong communication and customer focus.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Engineering experience: 2–5 years in control systems or mechanical engineering preferred.
  • Field service: 2+ years in a technical, customer-focused field service role.
  • Automation background: Installation experience strongly desired; powertrain assembly is a plus.
  • Technical skills: Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  • Communication: Customer-focused with excellent attention to detail and professionalism.
  • Documentation skills: Ability to read schematics, controls documents, and mechanical drawings.
  • Software: Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
  • Organization: Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Customer support: Ability to address questions, concerns, and complaints effectively.

Requirements

  • Work authorization: Authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction and maintain required travel visas.
  • Travel documents: Current driver’s license and valid passport required.
  • Travel: Willing to travel locally, domestically, and internationally.
  • Remote work: Approximately 70% at remote locations, including possible short-notice, weekend, or holiday travel.
  • Independence: Self-directed and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Professional conduct: Honest, ethical, and customer-focused.
  • Physical requirements: Able to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, reach, use tools, and work in confined spaces.
  • Lifting: Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Vision: Close vision, color vision, and depth perception required.
