    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Final/Receiving Inspector will inspect products and materials for defects or deviations from specifications. Required to cross train across company departments based on business needs.

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Reads blueprints and specifications  
    • Dimensionally inspects, tests, or measures materials or products being produced
    • Measures products with rulers, calipers, gauges, micrometers, tape measure, or Pi tape
    • Accepts or rejects finished or Raw Material items
    • Removes all products and materials that fail to meet specifications
    • Discusses inspection results with Dept. Supervisor, Area Leader, and Dept. Engineer
    • Reports inspection and test data as needed. Enter into NC Log database
    • Follows all Work instructions for performing Final Inspection criteria and Non-conforming product
    • Prints material certifications for customer orders as required
    • Prepares all necessary shipment paperwork as required
    • Performs additional training duties as requested
    • Packages orders for customer shipments as required
    • Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
    • Qualified for PMI inspection. Print PMI reports
    • Receiving inspection of components from suppliers using various measuring instruments and prints, specification and quality documents

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Ability to understand and follow English instructions
    • Inspect all products to Work Instructions
    • Ability to use and read micrometers and calipers
    • Utilizes RFA to offer ideas and solutions with involvement from Plant Management Team
    • Competent in basic computer skills

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
    • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
    • Must be able to bend, squat, stoop, twist and kneel
    • Ability to use hand tools
    • Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
