Job Description

INSPECTIONS TECHNICIAN

Job Summary:

The Inspection Helper will assist job Foreman and crew with various duties associated with inspection of steel structures.

Job Duties:

• Assists with staging equipment
• Assists with operations of robotic equipment
• Takes photos of structures
• Takes thickness readings for steel structures and coatings
• Properly collect and dispose of consumable items and waste on jobsites
• Document work as needed

Qualifications:

• Must be comfortable with working in high places and confined spaces
• Ability to follow safety policies and procedures
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Works well with a team
• Able to drive a company vehicle safely to field sites
• Possesses strong problem-solving skills
• Manages time effectively
• Detail-oriented
• Must be willing to travel five days per week and sometimes two weeks at a time across the country
• Ability to lift 40lbs on regular basis

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
