Inspection Programmer / Metrologist

About the Opportunity
Work directly for a Somerset County, NJ manufacturing company specializing in medical devices, where you"ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of products through advanced automated inspection and metrology systems. This is an opportunity to contribute to new product development, measurement system improvements, and quality initiatives in a highly technical manufacturing environment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
* Program and maintain automated inspection equipment, including Optical Gage Smart Scope, Keyence IM/VR, Mitutoyo CMM, and Starrett systems.
* Perform Gage R&R, measurement systems analysis, first article inspections, process capability studies, and engineering capability/stability studies.
* Support new product development by developing measurement programs, inspection criteria, fixtures, gages, and validation protocols.
* Investigate measurement system issues, maintain inspection records, and create or update quality documentation and work instructions.


Required Skills & Experience
* Minimum 5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; high school diploma/GED required.
* Experience programming multiple automated measurement systems, including Smart Scope, Keyence IM/VR, Mitutoyo CMM, or Starrett equipment.
* Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, blueprints, and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
* Experience with metrology and quality tools such as MSA, Gage R&R, SPC, APQP, PPAP, and statistical analysis.

Preferred Skills & Experience
* Bachelor"s degree in a related technical or engineering field.
* Experience with Measuremind, Zone3, MCOSMOS, M3, statistical software, and gage/fixture design.
