POSITION SUMMARY
Drytech Inc. is seeking an organized, responsive, and customer-focused
Inside Sales Support Specialist to support the company's aerospace, defense, and commercial sales activities.
This position will provide inside sales support for both
Drytech's aerospace and defense business and the
ZeoZorb commercial product line. The Inside Sales Support Specialist will serve as a key point of contact for customers, distributors, and prospective customers from initial inquiry through quotation, order entry, production, shipment, and post-sale support.
The successful candidate will work closely with Sales, Business Development, Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and Shipping to ensure customers receive accurate quotations, responsive communication, and exceptional service.
This is not simply an order-entry position. We are looking for someone who will actively manage opportunities, follow up on quotations, communicate with customers, learn our products, and help turn inquiries into orders.
ABOUT DRYTECH
Drytech Inc., located in Cookstown, New Jersey adjacent to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, designs and manufactures engineered moisture-control and air-purification products for aerospace, defense, and industrial applications.
Drytech's aerospace and defense products include desiccators, molecular sieve filters, dehydrators, humidity indicators, and other engineered moisture-control systems supplied to the U.S. Department of Defense and major aerospace and defense contractors.
Drytech also manufactures and markets the
ZeoZorb commercial product line, including desiccant breathers, transformer breathers, tank vent dryers, odor-control products, and related moisture-control solutions used throughout industrial markets.
This position supports customers across
both sides of the business, providing exposure to major aerospace and defense programs as well as a growing commercial industrial product line.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
CUSTOMER INQUIRIES & SALES SUPPORTThe Inside Sales Support Specialist will:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for incoming customer inquiries received by phone, email, website, trade shows, and other sales channels.
- Respond professionally and promptly to customer requests for product information, pricing, availability, lead times, and order status.
- Review and qualify incoming opportunities by gathering information regarding the customer's application, requirements, quantity, schedule, and operating conditions.
- Assist customers in identifying the appropriate Drytech or ZeoZorb product for their application.
- Recognize when an application requires additional technical review and coordinate with Engineering, Sales, or Business Development as necessary.
- Develop a working technical understanding of Drytech and ZeoZorb products in order to confidently discuss product capabilities and applications with customers.
QUOTING & OPPORTUNITY MANAGEMENT- Prepare and issue customer quotations for standard Drytech and ZeoZorb products.
- Support preparation of quotations for custom and engineered products by coordinating pricing, technical requirements, lead times, and other information with Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, and Sales.
- Review customer requirements and ensure quotations accurately reflect pricing, quantity, delivery, terms, and product requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of open quotations and sales opportunities.
- Actively follow up on open quotations and customer inquiries rather than waiting for customers to respond.
- Communicate with customers to understand quotation status, purchasing timelines, competitive concerns, and other factors affecting an opportunity.
- Maintain accurate notes and follow-up activities within company sales and order-management systems.
- Track quotation activity, conversion rates, open opportunities, and sales performance as requested by management.
ORDER PROCESSING & CUSTOMER SERVICE- Review incoming customer purchase orders against approved quotations, pricing, quantities, terms, delivery requirements, and product specifications.
- Enter and process customer orders accurately within company systems.
- Process ZeoZorb website and e-commerce orders.
- Prepare and distribute order acknowledgements and other required customer documentation.
- Coordinate with Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and Shipping to establish and communicate accurate delivery schedules.
- Provide customers with proactive updates regarding order status, production schedules, availability, backorders, and shipment information.
- Maintain accurate customer, pricing, quotation, and order records.
- Assist with invoices, credits, returns, and other customer account activities within established authorization limits.
- Ensure changes to customer orders are properly documented and communicated internally.
CUSTOMER & DISTRIBUTOR ACCOUNT SUPPORT- Serve as a day-to-day contact for existing Drytech and ZeoZorb customers.
- Develop professional relationships with customers and become a reliable resource for product, pricing, order, and delivery information.
- Support ZeoZorb distributor and reseller accounts with quotations, pricing, availability, order processing, and product information.
- Assist distributors with customer opportunities and application questions.
- Maintain distributor pricing and account information as directed by management.
- Identify repeat purchasing patterns and potential sales opportunities within existing customer accounts.
- Proactively contact customers regarding open quotations, recurring orders, replacement products, and other potential sales opportunities.
- Assist in re-engaging inactive or dormant customers.
CUSTOMER ISSUES & AFTER-SALES SUPPORT- Serve as an initial point of contact for customer complaints, returns, shipping issues, and other post-sale concerns.
- Document customer concerns accurately and route quality-related issues through the appropriate Quality processes.
- Coordinate internally to help resolve customer issues quickly and professionally.
- Maintain communication with the customer until the issue has been appropriately resolved.
- Support Return Material Authorization (RMA), replacement, credit, and other customer-service processes as required.
SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT- Provide administrative and operational support to Drytech Sales and Business Development personnel.
- Assist with preparation of customer presentations, quotations, product literature, capability information, and other sales materials.
- Research prospective customers and organizations as directed by Sales or Business Development.
- Assist with outbound customer follow-up and targeted sales campaigns.
- Maintain customer and prospect information within company CRM, ERP, and sales tracking systems.
- Help ensure leads and opportunities do not become inactive because of missed follow-up.
- Support sales reporting and pipeline reviews by maintaining accurate and current opportunity information.
TRADE SHOWS & INDUSTRY EVENTS- Represent Drytech and ZeoZorb at industry trade shows, conferences, and customer events throughout the year.
- Professionally engage prospective customers and communicate Drytech and ZeoZorb capabilities.
- Capture and document leads generated during trade shows.
- Coordinate timely post-show follow-up with prospects and customers.
- Assist with preparation of literature, samples, promotional materials, and other booth requirements.
- Support booth setup and teardown as required.
- Travel approximately 5–10%, including occasional overnight and weekend travel associated with industry events.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, account support, order management, or a related customer-facing position preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional and confident telephone and email communication.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple quotations, orders, customers, and priorities simultaneously.
- High level of accuracy when working with pricing, quantities, purchase orders, part numbers, and customer requirements.
- Strong computer skills and comfort working with spreadsheets, email, web-based applications, and business software.
- Ability and willingness to learn technical products and communicate product information to customers.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of customer requests, and follow opportunities through completion.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel domestically as required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The following experience is preferred but not required:
- Experience supporting manufacturing, aerospace, defense, industrial, MRO, filtration, lubrication, electrical, or other technical products.
- Experience preparing customer quotations and processing purchase orders.
- Experience working with ERP, CRM, MRP, or order-management systems.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms such as WooCommerce.
- Experience supporting distributor or reseller sales channels.
- Experience working with government, aerospace, or defense customers.
- Familiarity with technical drawings, specifications, part numbers, and Bills of Material.
- Experience attending or supporting trade shows and industry events.
- Previous experience selling or supporting products that require understanding a customer's technical application.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & SCHEDULE
This is an
on-site position located at Drytech's Cookstown, New Jersey facility.
Drytech operates on a four-day work schedule:
Monday through Thursday
7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
The position requires regular interaction with Sales, Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Shipping, and company leadership.
Occasional domestic travel is required for trade shows, industry events, and other business activities.
DEFENSE & REGULATORY ENVIRONMENT
Because Drytech manufactures products for U.S. aerospace and defense applications, employees may work with information, products, or technical data subject to U.S. Government contractual and export-control requirements.
Candidates must be legally eligible to work with applicable
ITAR/EAR-controlled technical data and products as required by the position.
Employees are expected to maintain appropriate confidentiality when working with customer information, technical data, pricing, contracts, and proprietary company information.
